Donations of materials in good condition are accepted and the profits from the book sale benefit the Friends of the Library. Monica Koldyke Miller, a local author from Indiana, will be giving a presentation at the Fort Recovery Public Library Tuesday, February 21st, at 6:00 PM. Her discussion will include information about how she got her start in writing and her first published book, “Threads of Betrayal”. Signed copies of her books will be available for purchase at the presentation. This free event is open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Battle of the Books Competition

Good luck to all students participating in the Battle of the Books on Tuesday, March 20th at 6:30 PM at the Fort Recovery Elementary Auditeria. Over 50 students from Fort Recovery and Coldwater will be competing as teams in this battle to determine who has the most knowledge. The students were given a pre-selected list of titles to read and study to prepare for the competition. This event is open to the public.

Light refreshments and coloring materials will be provided. Feel free to bring your own materials if you would like.

The Friends of the Library will be hosting a Used Book Sale Tuesday, May 30 - Saturday, June 3 at the Library. Donations of clean, gently used books, movies, and audio books will be accepted at the Library. Magazines, Encyclopedias, Textbooks and Reader's Digest Condensed Version books will not be accepted. All proceeds go to the Friends of the Library and are used for programs and materials at the Library.
