Join us as we celebrate another successful Summer Reading Program with food and a pool party. Hot dogs, chips, and drinks will be served at 5:00 at the Shelter house at the Pool park with prizes given at 5:45. Children and their families can swim at the pool at no charge for the remainder of the evening. Thanks for participating in our 2018 Summer Reading Program!

Senior Citizen Meal Service

The Mercer County Council on Aging will be offering a meal service at the Fort Recovery Public Library to senior citizens in the Southern part of Mercer County. Beginning Tuesday, June 13th, meals will be available the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month at the Library at 12:00 PM for a cost of $3.00. Participants are invited to stay and play cards at the Library in the community meeting room at 1:00 pm. Please RSVP for meals at least 24 hours in advance to the Mercer County Council on Aging at 419-586-1644.

Join us Tuesday, August 15th at 10:30 AM at the Library for Story Time Adventures to prepare for the solar eclipse. Learn what an eclipse is, what it's like when it happens, and how to safely view the eclipse. Anyone is welcome to attend this free event.

Chair Yoga

The public is invited to the Fort Recovery Library for “An Introduction to Yoga” on select Wednesday afternoons from 2:30 - 3:10 PM beginning Wednesday, September 20. This basic introduction includes simple seated (chair) poses and standing poses which do not require a mat. For more information, please contact the Library at 419-375-2869.

Bigfoot Presentation

Doug Waller, an Ohio resident and founder of the Southeastern Ohio Society for Bigfoot Investigation, will be at the Library for a presentation on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 6:00 pm. The purpose of the organization is to provide a safe, open forum for Bigfoot believers and eyewitnesses. Anyone is welcome to join us for this free presentation sponsored by the Friends of the Library. 

Pumpkin Painting

The Friends of the Library will be hosting a Pumpkin Painting evening at the Fort Recovery Public Library on Tuesday, October 10th. There will be three sessions for patrons to choose from and the cost for the event is $1.00 per child. There is no charge for members of the Friends of the Library. Each session runs for 45 minutes and the beginning times are 4:30 PM, 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Please pre-register for this event by calling the Library at 419-375-2869.
