Local Author Visit - Kathy Jutte

Kathy Jutte, former FR resident and middle school teacher, will be visiting the library on Tuesday, November 14th at 6:00 PM for a book signing of her book, "and we're testing your son for down syndrome". Kathy has written her experience with raising a child with Down Syndrome and shares how Matt taught everyone around him to see through the eyes of unconditional love. This event is free and open to the public. 

Stop-Motion Animation Workshop

Join us at the library as we learn the art of stop-motion animation with Alex Thomas and Friends, STEAM program instructors from Michigan. This program will teach students of all ages how to use stop-motion animation to create animated scenes with puppets and other materials. Space is limited to 20 participants ages 8 and older. Pre-registration is required for this free event by calling the library at 419-375-2869. The Stop-Motion Animation Workshop is sponsored by the Friends of the Library. 

Used Book Sale

The Library will be hosting a Used Book Sale during normal business hours, October 23rd - October 28th. Materials for the book sale are being accepted at the library. Used materials in good condition will be accepted. The library is unable to take textbooks, magazines, VHS tapes, and reference materials. Free will offerings are accepted for any items chosen from the sale.

The Friends of the Library are sponsoring a family movie on Monday, October 2nd at 10:30 AM. School is not in session this day so come join us at the library to watch "Spooky Buddies" with your crew. Guardians preferred to join students 8 and under. Bring your pillow, snacks and drink of your choice and sit back and enjoy a family-friendly movie.

Festival of Trees

The 19th Annual Fort Festival of Trees sponsored by the Friends of the Library is going on now. Trees and wreaths decorated by local businesses, organizations, individuals and families are on display upstairs at the library. The public is invited to this free event that will run from Monday, December 4, 2023 through Saturday, December 30, 2023. Patrons are invited to enjoy the exhibit and vote for their favorite tree.
