Story Time

Join us for Story Time at the Fort Recovery Library. Story time sessions are held on Tuesday evenings at 6:15 PM and on Friday mornings at 10:30 AM, October through April. Babies through preschoolers are welcome with a parent or guardian. Story times last approximately 45 minutes and often include a simple craft or activity.

Join us for a fun adventure as you and your friends have a chance to solve the clues and unlock the box in our newest adventure, "Forget the Field Trip." Groups of 6 - 8 are invited to register for a session where they solve the riddles, puzzles and clues to get all of the locks off the box and save the day. This event will be held September 30, October 1, October 3 and October 4. Call 419-375-2869 today to register.

The Library's Music Time program for babies and preschool-age children, accompanied by a parent or guardian, will be offered again on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM, beginning Tuesday, October 4, 2022.  This 6-week program includes finger plays, music, and movement, for both the child independently and parent/child interaction. Anyone is welcome to attend this free program.

Used Book Sale

The Used Book Sale will be held at the Library, October 17 - 22, during regular business hours.  Patrons are invited to shop the sale for books, audio books, and movies for all ages and interests. A free-will donation will be accepted for items.  Donations in good condition are still being accepted. Items not accepted are textbooks, encyclopedias, Reader's Digest Condensed Version books, VHS tapes, cassette tapes, and magazines. Scholastic Book Fair

Come and shop for Christmas at the Library! The Scholastic Book Fair will be open at the Library Monday, November 7th - Saturday, November 12th. Books can also be purchased during the Community Christmas Open House on Sunday, November 13th. Support the Friends of the Library through this fundraiser and get great gifts for Christmas. Books can also be purchased by visiting our book fair website online from November 7th - November 20th.

Battle of the Books

Students in grades 4 - 6 from Fort Recovery Schools and Coldwater Schools will compete in a Battle of the Books at the FR School Auditeria on Thursday, March 30th at 6:30 PM. Students are split into teams. 5 books are chosen for all the students to read, and questions will be asked about the books at the competition. The team with the most correct answers will be named the Champions. The public are invited to attend the Battle of the Books and support the kids. Family Movie Day

The Library will be showing the movie, "Clifford The Big Red Dog" on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at 10:30 AM, in honor of Clifford's Birthday (February 14). The movie will be played using the projector in the community room and is free and open to the public. We ask that students under the age of 10 be accompanied by an adult. Feel free to bring folding lawn chairs and/or blankets. The movie is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.
